About Iris Cruise

Launched in 2023, Iris Day Cruise is one of the most modern luxury day cruises in Halong Bay, designed as a floating entertainment theater amid the UNESCO World Heritage landscape. Departing from Halong Cruise Port, Iris Day Cruise follows a classic Halong Bay route featuring iconic highlights such as Sung Sot Cave, Luon Cave, and Titop Island. Cruise itinerary

In the morning, guests who book the transfer service will be picked up from hotels in Hanoi Old Quarter or a designated meeting point between 07:00am-07:45am. The comfortable drive to Halong Bay takes approximately 2.5-3 hours, with a short rest stop en route.

Arriving at Halong Cruise Port around 10:30am-11:30am, guests are transferred by electric cart to Iris Day Cruise. After boarding, a welcome drink is served while the cruise manager introduces safety guidelines and the day’s itinerary. Iris then begins its graceful journey through the iconic seascape of Halong Bay, passing hundreds of limestone karsts rising from emerald waters.

As the cruise sails deeper into the bay, guests are invited to enjoy a premium buffet lunch onboard, featuring fresh Halong seafood, sashimi, sushi, BBQ selections, and a variety of Asian and European dishes (a set menu is served when the number of guests is under 30). Dining takes place in the elegant restaurant with panoramic bay views, creating a relaxing and memorable culinary experience.

After lunch, the cruise stops to explore Sung Sot Cave, the largest cave in Halong Bay, renowned for its magnificent stalactites and stalagmites. The journey continues to Luon Cave, where guests may choose to kayak or take a bamboo boat through a serene, enclosed lagoon surrounded by towering cliffs.

Later in the afternoon, Iris Cruise visits Titop Island, offering free time to swim at the beach or hike to the summit for breathtaking panoramic views of the bay. Returning onboard, guests unwind as the cruise slowly heads back toward the harbor, enjoying a canapé party accompanied by live music on the sundeck or relaxing in the four-season Jacuzzi pool while admiring the sunset scenery.

Iris Day Cruise concludes at Halong Cruise Port around 5:00pm. Guests using the transfer service return to Hanoi, arriving at their hotels at approximately 7:30pm-8:00pm.

Note: Itinerary may be adjusted based on weather, tides, or port regulations. Wi-Fi is available in public areas but may be limited due to the bay’s geography.

    1. Booking & Payment
    • Bookings may be made directly through our website or via email, chat, WhatsApp, or phone.
    • A booking is only confirmed once we receive a deposit (or full payment) and issue an official confirmation letter with payment details.
    • Payments must be made no later than the due date stated in your booking confirmation. Failure to do so may result in cancellation and applicable charges.
    • Accepted payment methods: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, bank transfer, or cash (USD/VND at current exchange rate).
    • Card processing fee: A 3.5% surcharge applies to credit card payments. In certain cases (e.g., last-minute bookings or special promotions), we may waive or adjust this fee at our discretion.

    Deposit

    • Standard deposit: 30% of total booking value.
    • Special promotions or offers may require a higher deposit or full payment.
    • Deposits are refundable according to the cancellation policy, unless otherwise specified for special promotions.

    Balance Payment

    • Due at least 5 days before departure (credit card) or on the day of departure (cash).

    Full Payment

    • Required for bookings made within 3 days of departure and for certain special promotions.

    • Adults (12+ years): standard adult rate.
    • Children 5-11 years: 50% of adult rate (sharing bed) or 75% (extra bed); maximum 1 child per 2 adults.
    • Children under 5 years: free of charge; maximum 1 child per 2 adults.
    • Seasonal rates apply based on departure date.
    1. Mandatory Surcharges
    • Christmas Eve (24 Dec) & New Year’s Eve (31 Dec): surcharge applies, varies by cruise.

    1. Third Person in a Cabin
    • A third adult (12+) must use an extra bed and pays 90% of adult rate.

    Amendments by You

    • Name changes allowed up to 3 days before departure.

    By Us (Before Departure)

    If we must make a Major Change (e.g., change of departure date, time, vessel, or itinerary), you may:

    1. Accept the changes,
    2. Move your booking to another date (subject to availability),
    3. Choose an alternative trip (price adjusted), or
    4. Cancel and receive a full refund or credit.
    1. Weather Policy

    Cruise operations are subject to safety regulations issued by local authorities. If a cruise is canceled or shortened due to weather:

    • Cancellation before 11:00 on departure day: Full refund
    • Restricted cruise (up to 4 hours sailing): Refund minus USD 100 per person/day
    • Overnight cruise ending before 10:00 on Day 2: 50% refund
    • Two-night cruise ending before 18:00 on Day 2: 20% refund
    • All other circumstances: No refund
    1. Excursions & Activities
    • Many excursions require walking or light trekking. A reasonable level of fitness is recommended.
    • Activities may depend on weather, seasonality, or minimum/maximum participants.
    • We will attempt to replace canceled activities but cannot guarantee substitutes or compensation.
    1. Flights & Transfers
    • Airfares are not included unless otherwise stated.
    • We are not responsible for flight delays, cancellations, or amendments.
    • Passengers must ensure timely arrival for transfers and embarkation.
    1. Complaints
    • Please report any issues immediately to cruise management for resolution.
    • If unresolved, submit a written complaint to us within 28 days of trip completion, including booking reference and details.
    1. Force Majeure: We are not liable for events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, war, epidemics, government actions, strikes, severe weather). In such cases, bookings may be terminated without cash refund. Instead, future credit may be offered at our discretion, subject to settlement of outstanding charges.
    1. Liability
    • We exercise reasonable skill in selecting suppliers but are not responsible for their performance.
    • We are not liable for emotional distress or psychological injury unless caused by physical injury due to our proven negligence.
    • We are not liable for circumstances beyond our control, as outlined under Force Majeure.
    1. Travel Documents
    • You must hold valid passports, visas, and other required documents.
    • We reserve the right to deny boarding if documentation is incomplete, with full cancellation charges applied.
    1. Health & Medical
    • Passengers with medical conditions must inform us before booking.
    • A medical certificate may be required if fitness to travel is uncertain.
    • No medical staff are onboard; treatment is provided at local facilities at passenger’s own cost.
    • Travel insurance covering medical expenses and repatriation is strongly recommended.
    1. Passenger Information & Data Protection
    • Full passenger details must be provided 14 days prior to arrival.
    • Personal data may be shared with service providers, immigration, or security authorities as required.
    • Failure to submit required documents on time may result in denied boarding with full cancellation charges.
    1. Special Dietary Requirements: Requests must be submitted at least 5 days prior to departure. While we will make every effort, alternatives may not always be possible.
    1. Luggage
    • Dangerous, illegal, or unsuitable items are prohibited.
    • We are not liable for fragile or valuable items (e.g., jewelry, electronics) in luggage.
