About Oriental Sails Cruise

Launched in 2009 and recently upgraded, Oriental Sails Cruise is a traditional wooden junk blending classic Vietnamese style with modern comforts. With 18 cabins ranging from 14m² to 18m², the vessel accommodates up to 40 guests for overnight journeys. Each cabin is simply but thoughtfully designed, featuring essential amenities to ensure a cozy stay.

Operating itineraries in both Halong Bay and Lan Ha Bay, Oriental Sails Cruise offers travelers the chance to discover two of northern Vietnam’s most breathtaking seascapes. The cruise is especially suited for couples, small families, and budget-conscious travelers who value cultural authenticity, a friendly atmosphere, and intimate group settings over high-end luxury.

Departing from Halong Cruise Port, Oriental Sails Cruise sails through the pristine landscapes with exclusive routes: Sung Sot Cave, Titop Island, Dark & Bright Cave, Ba Trai Dao Beach (Three Peaches Beach), Pearl Farm Center and Luon Cave. Activities include kayaking, cycling, swimming, tai chi, cooking lessons, and cultural encounters, ensuring both relaxation and discovery.

Cruise itinerary

Morning
07:30AM – 08:00AM: Pick up from Hanoi Old Quarter (additional charge applies). Drive to Halong Bay, with a short break along the way. Arrive at Halong Cruise Port around noon for check-in.

Noon
Embark Oriental Sails Cruise, a traditional wooden junk. Receive a welcome drink and cruise briefing. Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch while cruising through the stunning limestone karsts of Halong Bay. In the afternoon, visit Sung Sot Cave, the largest grotto in the bay, featuring impressive stalactites and stalagmites. Continue to Titop Island for swimming on the sandy beach or climbing to the summit for panoramic views.

Evening
Return to the cruise for sunset views and join a Vietnamese cooking class on deck. Dinner is served in the restaurant with authentic Vietnamese dishes. Later, relax with squid fishing, stargazing, or drinks at the bar. Overnight onboard in Halong Bay.

Morning
Start the day with Tai Chi on the sundeck, followed by a light breakfast. Visit Luon Cave by bamboo boat or kayak, gliding through calm waters surrounded by limestone cliffs. Return to Oriental Sails Cruise for brunch while sailing back through the bay. Disembark at Halong Cruise Port around 11:00AM, then transfer back to Hanoi with arrival in the afternoon.
