About The Au Co Cruise

The Au Co Cruise is the flagship product of Bhaya Cruises, an established and trusted Halong Bay cruise brand. Built in 2011-2012 and relaunched in March 2024, its two steel-hulled vessels feature 32 cabins each, accommodating up to 66 guests per ship.

Accommodation includes five cabin categories ranging from 20m² to 40m². Deluxe, Executive, Long Quan Suite and Au Co Suite cabins have private balconies or terraces, while Grand Deluxe Cabins feature large windows and sea-facing beds. The two suite categories provide bathtubs, private outdoor space and additional amenities. Connecting cabins are available for families.

Onboard facilities include a panoramic restaurant, open bar, spa, outdoor Jacuzzi and spacious sundeck. Guests can enjoy Vietnamese cooking demonstrations, sunrise Tai Chi, kayaking, swimming and night squid fishing.

Cruise itinerary

Morning

After an optional transfer from your hotel in Hanoi, travel towards Halong. At 11:30AM, arrive at Bhaya Cruise Center within Tuan Chau Marina and complete the registration procedures. At 12:00PM, board The Au Co Cruise and check into your cabin. Proceed to Halong Restaurant for a welcome drink, safety briefing and introduction to the Cruise Manager, crew and voyage program.

Noon

At 12:30PM, enjoy lunch as The Au Co Cruise sails towards southeastern Halong Bay, passing Trong Mai, Ngon Tay and Con Coc islets. At 2:30PM, arrive at Viet Hai Village on Cat Ba Island. Explore the village by bicycle or electric cart, passing through green countryside and learning about the traditional lifestyle of Northern Vietnamese villagers.

Discover the Bhaya Community Farm and Save the Langurs, two of Bhaya Cruises’ community and environmental projects. At Bhaya Café, admire the surrounding fields while preparing a refreshing glass of Bhaya’s signature “mojitea” or trying your hand at making bánh cuốn, a traditional steamed rice-roll dish.

At 4:30PM, return to The Au Co and enjoy swimming in the emerald lagoon where the vessel is anchored. At 5:30PM, return onboard and freshen up as the cruise moves towards its overnight anchorage.

Evening

At 6:00PM, admire the sunset over the bay while enjoying Happy Hour promotions on selected drinks. Dinner is served in the restaurant at 7:00PM. At 9:00PM, join a Vietnamese rice-wine tasting session in the restaurant. From 9:30PM to 10:30PM, enjoy a Buy 1, Get 1 Free promotion on selected drinks. Morning

Begin the final morning at 6:15AM with a Tai Chi session on the sundeck while watching the sunrise over Halong Bay. Breakfast is served at 7:00AM. At 7:30AM, explore the Trinh Nu Area by kayak. Paddle across the emerald water and admire the rugged limestone mountains surrounding this peaceful part of Halong Bay.

Return to The Au Co at 8:30AM and prepare your luggage for departure. Breakfast continues to be available in the restaurant.

Check-out and Disembarkation

At 9:30AM, complete the cabin check-out procedure and settle any additional onboard charges at reception.

Disembark at Tuan Chau Marina at approximately 10:00AM. Depending on operating conditions, guests may return to the harbour by speedboat. The Cruise Manager will advise passengers when this arrangement is required.

Guests leave The Au Co Cruise and prepare for departure. An optional transfer back to Hanoi or onward transportation can be arranged in advance.

Note: The itinerary may be changed due to weather, tides, port regulations or operating conditions at sea. Kayaking and swimming may be cancelled or moved to another location when necessary.

Guest preparation: Please submit all required passenger information before departure and bring a valid passport for check-in. Dietary requirements and food allergies should be advised at least one week before departure.

Wi-Fi and sustainability: Complimentary Wi-Fi is available on the Terrace Deck, although the signal may be interrupted at sea. Filtered drinking water is provided for guests to refill reusable bottles. Toothbrushes and cotton swabs are available upon request at reception.

Option 1-Sung Sot Cave: Explore the largest and one of the most impressive caves in Halong Bay. Follow the paved passage through its vast chambers and admire thousands of stalactites and stalagmites.

Option 2-Titop Island: Relax and swim at the beach or hike to the summit for panoramic views across Halong Bay. Return to The Au Co at 8:30AM and prepare your luggage for departure. Breakfast continues to be available in the restaurant.

Check-out and Disembarkation

At 9:30AM, complete the cabin check-out procedure and settle any additional onboard charges at reception.

Disembark at Tuan Chau Marina at approximately 10:00AM, marking the end of The Au Co Cruise 3D2N journey. Guests leave The Au Co Cruise and prepare for departure. An optional transfer back to Hanoi or onward transportation can be arranged in advance.

Check-in & Check-out

Check-in: 12:30PM at The Au Co Cruise reception area in Tuan Chau Marina.

Guests should arrive at the designated meeting point before the required check-in time to complete registration and boarding procedures.

Check-out: 10:30AM

Guests should complete cabin check-out, return the cabin key and settle any additional onboard expenses before disembarkation.

Child Policy

One child under 6 years old: Free of charge when sharing the existing bed with two adults.
Children from 6 to 11 years old: Charged at 75% of the adult rate when sharing the existing bed with two adults.
Children from 12 years old: Considered adults and charged at the full adult rate.
The free-child policy is limited to one eligible child per cabin.
An extra bed, separate bed or additional child is subject to the cabin’s maximum occupancy and confirmation from the cruise operator.
Children’s ages are calculated according to their date of birth and the cruise departure date.
A passport or another valid identification document may be required to verify the child’s age.

Surcharge Policy

Compulsory surcharges may apply on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, Lunar New Year and selected Vietnamese public holidays.
Holiday surcharge amounts vary according to the departure date, cruise program and booking conditions.
Any applicable holiday or special-event surcharge will be advised and confirmed before booking.
Additional charges may apply to requested services such as private transfers, beverages, spa treatments, fishing with local communities, private events and customised arrangements.
If government taxes, port charges, fuel surcharges or other mandatory levies change after booking, the cruise operator may adjust the price according to its official booking conditions.
